Notes

Old-fashioned weigela is grown primarily for its late spring flowers. It has a rounded habit, and when it reaches maturity, its branches arch to the ground. Weigela’s numerous rosy-pink flowers are 1″ to 2″ long, borne singly or in clusters in the late spring. It often flowers sporadically throughout the rest of the season as well. Older varieties may reach 6′ to 10′ and offer no interest when not in bloom. Weigela is good for the shrub border
